Calculates gears, and does it well.
Does what it says on the box: you can pick tire sizes, chainring, sprockets, cadence, and speed, and see how all those variables interact as you change any parameter, in real time. Looks good, too. The default parameters when you first start up the app are weird: kids bike wheel, 60 x 40 gears; until I noticed the weird wheel and gearing choices, I thought the app was broken. The help appears to be for the full version of the app, not the free version. But for the price, it works. Wish it was a true iPad app, but it works fine on my first-generation iPad.

This is a great little app for anyone who is serious about cycling. It gives you an instant readout of what your speed you can expect according to your cadence and selected gear ratio. It also tells you what your cadence should be to maintain a certain speed. I would have given the free version a five star rating if it would save the settings that you entered the last time the app was used. Unfortunately, you have to select all of the settings each time you use the app. If the paid version save your settings, it would be worth the cost to not have to set everything each time you use the app.

Does just what I needed - I was trying to figure out what size cog I needed for a specific cadence and speed. As another reviewer said, I wish the app remembered the last entered settings after being closed.

Accurate & idiot proof (user friendly). Gear ratios & speed & easy to make changes. Great for making track gear adjustments in seconds. Best one of these Ive seen.
